An officially-licensed model, the MPC X-2 Invader is 19″ tall and 1.38″ in diameter, sufficient to give any Martian invader a whole lot of rocket for the money. Orange, yellow and black, it features a unique molded nose with integrated command section, molded fin canister with four slide-in fins, four molded faux engine nozzles, colored plastic parts and a pre-decorated body tube. All this adds up to a short, 45-minute build time* and absolutely no painting.
The X-2 Invader flies on standard, 18mm rocket engines and returns back to Earth on a decorated 18″ parachute. The kit comes complete with illustrated instructions.
A launch pad and controller, building supplies, recovery wadding and rocket engines are required but sold separately.
